Okay, haven't posted for a while and to judge by the headline this is going to be a rather big post.

Like a summary before you go behind the cut? This is all about one definition of Mel's world.


I feel like I haven't properly wrote about my own understanding of what life's all about. But this surely does belong in my journal. :laugh:

I'm not a religious person. I was christened and I go to church every now and then, normally when there's a marriage or confirmation I'm invited to. I seldom feel the need to go to church. In general I do think it doesn't matter where you say your prayers, if you got some to say that is. Just because I sit in a church and have to listen to the (mostly) uninteresting and ancient stuff the pastor's musing about, I'm not an inch more christian.
I don't even know if I really believe in God. I do pray sometimes. And I do say thank-you if something good happens or if I got the feeling something bad was just turned away from me. But if I say these prayers to a/the God ... I just don't know. I think it's more like I'm addressing the Universe in general.

I believe we lead more than one life. I believe we need to gain a certain knowledge during the present life. And whether we achieve it or not decides how the next life will be. It's a very easy philosophy. But it kinda helps me deal with the bad times too, because I think I gotta learn something from it and that's where even the most horrible things happening don't become less painful but I can stand them more steadily. Or at least it feels like. Or at least I convince myself that it feels like that :laugh:

So everything that happens to me is part of the plan to make me realize something and to make me learn from it.

And when I did something good, didn't give up, took the right decision or whatever, I will be rewarded. Even as a child I thought the Universe is giving...
